*A trip plan must include name of all riders and any passengers, destination, and timeline
- Wear personal protective equipment:
- full face helmet with goggles
- warm waterproof boots
- proper winter clothing – mitts, snow or wind pants, warm parkas, animal skins or furs
Carry safety equipment, including:
- waterproof matches
- small first aid kit
- fuel and oil
- tow sling or rope
- folding saw or pana
- flashlight and spare batteries
- water and food
- emergency blanket
- GPS, map, compass, tracking device, and spare batteries
- beacon and probe
- zip ties
- tent
- spare spark plugs
- small tool kit
- sleeping bag
- dry clothing and extra mitts in a waterproof bag
- tire plug kit
- gas line antifreeze
- extra drive belt
- satellite phone
- extra bulbs for taillights and headlights
Do not consume alcohol or cannabis before or during your trip
